This year’s showdown between the highly contentious incumbent Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden has already been filled to the brim with concerns about election integrity, the future of women’s rights and the handling of Covid-19. Republicans voting for Trump view their vote as one for the protection of their conservative ideals, while Democrats voting for Joe Biden feel that the very stability of the country’s democracy and safety hangs in the balance.
Regardless of which side of the fence you find yourself, though, there’s no denying that the recent presidential debate was a disastrous event. Trump continuously and aggressively interrupted both his opponent and the moderator, Chris Wallace, while Biden became clearly frustrated with the chaos and struggled to get his points across at times. It was a disappointing event for undecided voters, and it’s been a source of mockery ever since.

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “Journeycake,” the 11th episode of “Outlander” Season 5.
In the 10th episode of “Outlander,” the show jumped the Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers) storyline ahead in time, skipping quite a bit of cat-and-mouse chasing from Diana Gabaldon’s book series. Instead, it neatly wrapped up Bonnet’s part by getting ahead to when he kidnapped Brianna (Sophie Skelton). Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not yet watched “Do No Harm,” the second episode of “Outlander” Season 4.
In the wake of Stephen Bonnet (Ed Speleers) robbing Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) in the “Outlander” season four premiere, the weary travelers still managed to make it to River Run, a stunning North Carolina plantation run by Jamie’s Aunt Jocasta (Maria Doyle Kennedy), who was left blind by glaucoma. Jamie was slightly ashamed to show up penniless, but Jocasta welcomed them with open arms. Still, it was not an easy road as almost immediately Claire and Jamie experienced what it was like to see slaves working such land up close and personal.
And Jocasta’s motives were not entirely selfless anyway. She knew that it would benefit her to have a man like Jamie around. Remember, this was 1767 — Jocasta was definitely fending off advances from men...

The story follows a man played by Matt Smith who has the unique ability to speak "the Infected's new language" and leads the last survivors on a hunt to find Patient Zero and a cure. Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones) is helping him on his journey. The big twist is, the infected don't feel they are diseased, they feel that they are the solution and the cure to get rid of the human infection.
This actually looks like a solid movie worth checking out. It was directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky and this is the synopsis:
In this new pandemic thriller, humanity is battling intelligent, adrenaline-fueled creatures born from a viral super-strain. After being bitten, human survivor Morgan (Matt Smith) realizes he is asymptomatic and can communicate with the infected,...

"Something new and smart is evolving..." Sony has debuted the trailer for an indie horror thriller titled Patient Zero, another attempt at mixing up the zombie genre with new ideas. The twist in this one is that one guy has the unique ability to speak "the Infected's new language" and leads the last survivors on a hunt for Patient Zero and a cure. Matt Smith stars as Morgan, the one with the skill of communicating with the undead/zombie/creatures but goes up against a formidable opponent when they find The Professor, played by Stanley Tucci. The cast includes Natalie Dormer, Clive Standen, Agyness Deyn, John Bradley, Colin McFarlane, Pippa Bennett-Warner, and James Northcote. As interesting as this "pandemic" film seems, there's so much of the usual tropes in this it doesn't seem like it really has anything new to offer. Here's the first official trailer for Stefan Ruzowitzky's Patient Zero,...

If you were busy watching England's rugby defeat last Saturday night, you missed a thrilling episode of Doctor Who, packed with moments every bit as blood-curdling as the sporting horror show. 'Under the Lake' might've suffered from a sketchily written supporting cast, but it scored with an abundance of atmosphere, great twists and some nifty sci-fi concepts.
This week, writer Toby Whithouse makes shrewd use of the two-parter format, positioning this follow-up episode as a prequel-of-sorts. But while the setting is (mostly) different, 'Before the Flood' is much of a muchness with its predecessor. It replicates many of its strengths, but also a few of its flaws.
Roughly half of the episode is set in the 1980s - a few hundred years before 'Under the Lake'. It's here that the Doctor rediscovers the spaceship left lurking in The Drum last week, and meets its oddball occupant, Prentis (Paul Kaye).

Three weeks into its latest run and, despite being filleted by critics for having its ratings trampled on by big rugby men, Doctor Who is ably demonstrating its power of enormous variety, jumping from a bonkers premiere to a bleak episode two, to - this week - a throughly traditional outing.
The 'base under siege' plot - our heroes and a motley crew trapped in an enclosed space - has been a Doctor Who staple for decades. One series, back in 1967, even replicated the formula for all but one story.
Since the show's resurgence, we've again seen countless examples of the type - 2005's 'Dalek', 2006's 'The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit', 2011's 'The Rebel Flesh / The Almost People', and more.
The latest script offering from Being Human creator Toby Whithouse, 'Under the Lake' also borrows the notion of an untranslatable language from 'The Impossible Planet / The Satan Pit', while...

If you had told us, back in Dennis Pennis’ mid-1990s spoof interviewing heyday, that his alter ego Paul Kaye would one day be starring in a TV adaptation of Game Of Thrones and the new Doctor Who series, we’d have likely said, ‘Doctor Who isn’t even on! And there Is no show of that one book by that fantasy guy! Begone, time-travelling demon!’ But we would be sadly wrong (except maybe about the time-travelling bit), as Got veteran Kaye is indeed part of a sprawling cast for the two-part launch for the new series of Who.The BBC has announced that the ninth series of the show – at least since the Doctor came back to screens in 2005 – is now shooting at its usual Cardiff locale, with Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman once more starring. Dylan Moran and Graham Linehan's Channel 4 sitcom Black Books, starring Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig, was comedy genius. Here's why...
Everyone loves second-hand bookshops, don’t they? The satisfaction of leafing through some dusty volume of antiquarian musings, the rich scent of aged leather bindings, redolent of the past… Add to all that the opportunity to indulge in some intellectual posing and impress the philosophy student lounging in the corner, and you’ve got yourself a full Saturday afternoon’s entertainment.
That is, of course, unless you happen to find yourself in one particular Bloomsbury establishment, presided over by a certain Bernard Black. Make no mistake: our Bernard (Dylan Moran) may have an aesthete’s tousled pallor, but there’s nothing remotely poetic about his attitude to running a shop. Only dimly familiar with the concept of customer service, he rules his domain with a rod of iron.
Everyone loves second-hand bookshops, don’t they? One celebrity will be tested in the first I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! live trial of the series.
The chosen celeb will face the Critter Cube during tomorrow night's (November 23) show, in a trial based on the Phillip Schofield-hosted game show The Cube.
The celebrity will first stop at the Critter-cal Construction station. Here they will have to stack five cylinders into a tower, which must stay upright for three seconds.
The celeb will lose a life if the tower falls, and will be joined by some biting green ants.
Revulsion Expulsion is the name of the second station, and for two stars the celebrity will need to move 20 balls surrounded by raw pig's testicles just using their mouth.
The trial will have its own version of The Body, who demonstrates the tasks before they are carried out, and there will also be narration by The Cube's Colin McFarlane.

Sure, his most high-profile characters to date are as creepy as hell, but in reality, veteran actor David Dastmalchian is one of the coolest cats you could ever hope to chat with in an interview. I sensed a cool vibe mere moments into a recent phone conversation with Dastmalchian, who is fresh off another unnerving performance as the tech-savvy serial killer Simon on a recent episode of Fox's hit sci-fi series Almost Human. It's the second major project Dastmalchian been featured in the past four months, beginning with a pivotal supporting role opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in director Denis Villeneuve's spellbinding crime thriller Prisoners. And before that, of course, Dastmalchian was exposed to millions of movie fans worldwide in a small but mesmerizing turn as the Joker's thug, Thomas Schiff, in Christopher Nolan's 2008 Batman epic The Dark Knight. Dastmalchian in "Almost Human" (Series) Born and raised in Kansas, Dastmalchian...

With The Dark Knight Rises not opening until December 2012, there's an upcoming movie to help fill the void: the direct-to-dvd Batman: Year One. MTV just debuted the movie's first trailer.
Based on the 1987 Batman comic book story arc written by Frank Miller and illustrated by David Mazzucchelli, Batman: Year One is considered by many to be the origin story for Batman, and is regarded as one of the best Batman storylines ever. Elements of the seminal work were used in director Christopher Nolan's first Batman movie, Batman Begins, including the characters of mobster Carmine Falcone (played by Tom Wilkinson), Gotham Police Commissioner Loeb (played by Colin McFarlane in both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight), and the corrupt Detective Flass (played by Mark Boone Jr.). The comic book arc also included the character of Catwoman, who will finally be featured in Nolan's Batman universe in The Dark Knight Rises.
