The Last Show
SCTV needs money, this is the last episode ever, a kind of a cheat since there are many old clips and and old movie (The 1934 "Of Human Bondage") with dubbed voices.
It starts with Guy and Mrs Prickley asking for donations again. Edith tells some double entendre jokes. They introduce the movie called "The Steve Bashekis Story"
The movie has a couple of amusing bits, Martin Short does the voice for the Bette Davis character.
Bobby Bittman and Jackie Rogers Jr get together to ask for pledges, Jackie laughs at Bobby's ad libs. They introduce Lola Heatherton. It is great to see Catherine O'Hara again. She does a hilarious lip quivering version of "It's A Man s Man's Man's World"
Libby Wolfson and Troy Soren then ask for pledges. The phones are not ringing and Libby is more worried about how stocky she looks on camera.
Count Floyd and Woody Tobias Jr are next. Woody tells the public it's OK if they don't call in, Floyd yells at him for giving them "an out".
Then Guy and Edith return, they haven't gotten enough pledges. Guy gives a patriotic speech but leaves when his mistress calls. Edith sits in his chair and talks about how this is the end of SCTV. And it turns out it really was. Final image is a close up of her. The credits roll for the final time on the greatest comedy sketch show ever.
