In what seems like Hollywood version of ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, actress Mila Kunis was surprised by her husband Ashton Kutcher’s moustache which he grew for his character in the latest movie ‘Vengeance’.
The actress, though, was very accepting of the transformation, reports People magazine.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live with guest host David Alan Grier, the What Happens in Vegas star opened up about his facial hair transformation for his latest movie Vengeance.
According to People, in the movie, Kutcher’s character, rural Texas music producer Quentin Sellers, has a pencil-thin moustache.

With its list of new releases for June 2022, HBO Max is joining in what should be a TV summer to remember.
Not content to let Netflix’s Stranger Things or Prime Video’s The Boys to dominate the summer TV landscape, HBO is coming through with a new season of one of its big hits. Westworld season 4 is set to premiere June 26 on both HBO and HBO Max. What will this season of the increasingly confusing sci-fi drama be about? Per HBO’s synopsis it will be “A dark odyssey about the fate of sentient life on earth.” So you know, only that.
Irma Vep is the only other Max Original of note this month. Based on a 1996 cult classic of the same name, this limited series stars Alicia Vikander as a disillusioned movie star looking to remake the early 20th century French silent film serial Les Vampires.

Film CommentaryFor Kollywood, it’s become par for the course to mock Yogi Babu for his looks with slurs like “panni munji vaaya” (pig-face). Such pejoratives have their roots in the casteist dehumanising of dark-skinned, wiry-haired people.Bharathy SingaravelCourtesy/SonyMusicSouthVEVOMainstream Tamil cinema has in the last few years, particularly since the films of Pa Ranjith, witnessed a significant shift in how Dalit, Adivasi or Bahujan people are represented on screen. A generation of younger filmmakers, many supported by Ranjith’s Neelam Productions, have registered a strong, anti-caste, Ambedkarite stance coupled with compelling storytelling. While the industry at large seems to have recognised the ‘marketability’ of such films, it still has a long way to go in exorcising casteism from within its own ranks of scriptwriting, lyrics and characterization. Take the recently released Mahaan. The lacklustre plotline aside, Vikram’s sort-of-intro song brazenly equates a self-absorbed, irresponsible con-man, roaming the city...

Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum attempt to fend off a maniacal Daniel Radcliffe in the first trailer for Paramount’s “The Lost City,” premiering in theaters on April 15, 2022.
In the film, Bullock plays Loretta Sage, a novelist who has spent her career writing about exotic places in her popular romance-adventure books. She’s reluctant to promote her new book because she’d rather spend her time in the bathtub while drinking Chardonnay with ice. Nevertheless, she agrees to go on tour with Alan (Tatum), the hunky cover model who serves as the face of her series, to meet fans and sell copies of her novel.
“You do know you’re not Dash, right? Dash is a character I made up,” Loretta tells Alan, who does in fact believe he is Dash.

In the wake of the success of the Kevin Hart feature Fatherhood on Netflix, the producers of that movie, Higher Ground and Temple Hill, are collaborating with the streaming giant once again for a new project entitled Blackout, a film & television event which will be adapted from six different Black love stories written by six different writers.
Those scribes are Dhonielle Clayton (Tiny Pretty Things), Tiffany D. Jackson (Allegedly), Nic Stone (Dear Martin), Angie Thomas (The Hate U Give), Ashley Woodfolk (The Beauty that Remains) and Nicola Yoon. Blackout is being developed as part of Higher Ground’s overall deal with Netflix.
From the perspective of 12 teens with six shots of love, Blackout takes place as a heatwave blankets New York City in darkness and causes an electric chaos. When the lights go out and people reveal hidden truths, love blossoms, friendships transform, and all possibilities take flight.

Oscar Nunez has been cast in “The Lost City of D,” a romantic action comedy starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum.
It’s currently unknown who Nunez will play in the Paramount Pictures film, which centers on a romance novelist (Bullock), who gets stuck on a book tour with her cover model (Tatum). Straight out of a novella, a kidnapping attempt sweeps them both into a cutthroat jungle adventure, proving that life can be much stranger — and more romantic — than fiction.
The casting reunites Nunez with Bullock; he had a scene-stealing role in the 2009 romantic comedy “The Proposal” as the town’s resident waiter, minister… and exotic dancer. Nunez has guest appeared in dozens of popular television shows, including “New Girl,” “Reno 911” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He’s best known for playing Oscar, a comedic foil to Steve Carell’s Michael Scott on “The Office.”

The Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters is continuing to expand, with a series of projects in various stages of development despite the franchise still having only released one movie to date. Of course, that film was Venom and it raked in over $850 million at the box office, but the jury remains out on Jared Leto’s Morbius, and if one of next year’s two Spumc titles bomb, then the studio could be forced to abandon yet another Spider-Man adjacent franchise well ahead of schedule.
Cheo Hodari Coker’s Nighwatch, J.C. Chandor’s Kraven the Hunter, S.J. Clarkson’s Madame Web and Marc Guggenheim’s Jackpot have all been officially announced over the last few years, but there’s also another movie in the works from Olivia Wilde which hasn’t been confirmed as of yet. The actress’ debut feature behind the camera, Booksmart, received widespread critical acclaim and...

Sony’s last attempt at building a shared universe didn’t go according to plan, with the disappointing box office performance and generally lukewarm reception to The Amazing Spider-Man 2 nixing any further outings, despite the studio hedging their bets in a big way by stuffing the story full of Easter Eggs and teases of things to come, as well as hiring Drew Goddard to write and direct Sinister Six along with announcing various other spinoffs including Silver & Black and Spider-Man 2099.
Of course, Spider-Man was rebooted shortly afterwards as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the absence of their marquee hero hasn’t stopped the company from trying again. Venom surprised a lot of people after it raked in over $850 million globally, but next year could see the Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters sink or swim with the double whammy of Morbius and Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Sony Pictures is reportedly in talks with director J.C. Chandor to helm a movie based around the Marvel Comics villain Kraven the Hunter, according to Deadline. If this goes forward, it would make Kraven the third Spider-Man villain to make the jump to a solo movie after Venom and next year’s Morbius.
Chandor is a name that should be familiar to a certain type of movie fan. His previous films include his debut, Margin Call, as well as the highly acclaimed All is Lost with Robert Redford and the outstanding A Most Violent Year, the latter being an A24 release that starred Oscar Isaac and Jessica Chastain. His most recent effort, Triple Frontier, debuted on Netflix last year with a cast that included Isaac, Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam and Pedro Pascal.

Given all the noise around Force of Nature, it’s hard to get at the movie itself, which on the surface is no more than a routine crime thriller set in San Juan, Puerto Rico during a Category 5 hurricane. What’s not routine is the tweetstorm of controversy ignited by the casting of Mel Gibson and Emile Hirsch, both actors with assault charges on their records, as white cops battling “Rican” villains against the carnage of Hurricane Maria. To say that a real-life tragedy deserves more respect than simply being...

“Agents of Shield” begins its final mission on Wednesday and will wrap up seven seasons of existing almost exclusively on the periphery of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. When it first debuted in 2013, “Shield” was supposed to mark the McU’s arrival to the small screen. After all, it starred Clark Gregg, reprising his role as Phil Coulson and the first season featured cameo appearances by Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). Despite Marvel TV chief Jeph Loeb’s often-stated assurance, “It’s all connected,” the connection between the films and TV shows often felt tenuous. “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” even introduced a conspiracy that seemed to threaten the premise of “Agents of Shield.” “I think that’s pretty clear we’re the black sheep of the Marvel Universe,” actress Chloe Bennet, who plays Daisy Johnson aka “Quake,” told TheWrap. “I think everyone was aware of...

Sony Pictures confirms signing Marc Guggenheim ("Arrow") to script a live-action screenplay adapting Marvel Comics female crime-fighter superhero "Jackpot":
"...'Sara Ehret', a pregnant scientist at 'Phelcorp', a subsidiary of 'Oscorp' works on gene therapy to cure 'Parkinson's disease when she is accidentally exposed to 'Lot 777'. The virus rewrote the 'DNA' in her cells leaving her in a coma for 4 months. Coming out of her coma Sara went on to have her child 'Madeline' with no complications, however when her family came under threat by falling debris she displayed superhuman strength to save them.
"'Jackpot' went on to train and become a government sanctioned 'Initiative' superhero for New York City.
"Though she became a hero for a while, Sara had no impulse to remain one. Instead she wanted to go back to her normal life and family. When another woman, 'Alana Jobson', recognized Sara and showed genuine enthusiasm,...

Marvel executives trying to get in touch with “Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt should probably send their emails again. In an Instagram story Thursday, Pratt said he was trying to slim down his inbox by reading or deleting at least 1,000 emails per day, but the email-deleting software he used instead wiped roughly 51,000 unread emails from his inbox.
“So yesterday my son was playing with my phone and he gasped in shock looking at the number of unread emails that I had,” Pratt said. “It’s a lot. I get it, I know, It’s mostly junk. See, what I do is I sign up for everything…. I’m one of those idiots who will do an Iq test and be like, ‘Want to take an Iq test? Give me your email.’ And then I do, which proves my Iq is about 7 and I just get junk from everyone...

Jackpot may not exactly be considered an A-list Spider-Man comic book character to most fans, but Sony Pictures apparently sees superheroine solo movie potential, with the studio bringing such a project to the forefront—just a day after the report of another new one—by tapping a prolific writer from the realm of comic books and comic book television.
Marc Guggenheim has been hired to pen the script for a Jackpot movie, reports Deadline. The project will adapt the story of the titular female hero, born Sara Ehret. The character gained powers after she was accidentally exposed—while pregnant—to Lot 777, an experimental genetic cure for Parkinson’s Disease, which left her comatose for 4 months, after which she emerged with enhanced strength, stamina and durability after having her child. However, after taking the natural next step of becoming a superhero—officially registered as necessitated in a post-Civil War world—her...

Sony is attempting the superhero film equivalent of “doing a lot with a little.” Instead of owning the film rights to a huge connected universe, like WB’s Dceu or Marvel Studios’ McU, Sony has the “Spider-Man” film rights. And though the character is one of the most popular superheroes in comic book and film history, there’s no obvious way to spin it off into a whole connected universe.
