The Iron Claw (2023)
A deeply tragic story but also the perseverance of the human spirit.
If you don't know anything about the Von Erich family, watching this movie will certainly feel like a made up story but sadly this is one movie where there isn't enough of a runtime to fit every tragedy that occurred in this family.
Zac Efron leads this movie and he does an incredible job portraying the second oldest brother in the Von Erich clan, Kevin. Zac shows just how much of a burden it is to carry your Father's ambitions and not letting him down, even if it means body and mind and family.
The Iron Claw shows being strong isn't everything, we need to handle our mental health and communicate.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
DO NOT WATCH
The biggest middle finger to Judgment day I've ever seen.
Everyone remembers at the end of two where the Terminator has a Father Son moment and the bond they developed after protecting him. Even Sarah learns from the Terminator as she drives on the open road.
Fast forward to Dark Fate John is right after the events of Judgment Day in the first scene! Everything that was special about two was immediately pissed in the right out the gate lol.
If you want to develop your own story fine but to minimize the ending of Terminator 2 by awful writing, it was the biggest slap in the face to a franchise that already struggled with sequels but I guess that wasn't good enough now they have to try and ruin the classics too.
