The cast of Will Trent has worked hard solving cases and bettering themselves, and the title character, Will Trent, had a rough year.
The main cast has remained mostly the same since the procedural began in January 2023.
While Will Trent was an instant hit, Season 2 was even better. The series explored the backstories of each main character, giving the series a twist, especially since the younger versions of Will, Angie, and Amanda were so realistic.
The talented cast makes us cry, smile, and laugh each new season as we root for them.
This cast is unique because some have been friends for years, which shows in their on-screen connections.

Back in 1992, Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone’s neo-noir shocked the whole world with its groundbreaking depiction of sexuality. Indeed, directed by Paul Verhoeven, Basic Instinct became a sensation that not only acquired a cult following, but also paved the way for other erotic movies of the 1990s.
However, 3 years after that, Verhoeven made a movie that wasn’t successful at all, as it sparked much more controversy and became a box office bomb, grossing just $37.8 million against a budget of $45 million. However, it’s even bolder than the 1992 thriller.
The film’s plot revolves around a young woman who has her own American dream: she wants to become a popular dancer. After taking up a job in a poor strip club, she encounters the high-profile Stardust Hotel’s showgirl and her bossy boyfriend.
Eventually, the protagonist ends up involved in the intrigues of those who strive towards more and more money and power,...

It may seem that Netflix has taken over the period dramas’ scene with the glowing success of Bridgerton, the series that got all the possible titles. However, Apple TV is now killing it with their period shows too, as you may have seen such gems, as Lessons in Chemistry (2023), Masters of the Air, The New Look, and Manhunt (all 2024).
This year the platform released a must-see miniseries that also takes us back in time, but here we embark on a journey together with one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, Benjamin Franklin. This show can even beat Bridgerton by its quality (and it surely does better when it comes to historical accuracy).
It starts by depicting the events of December 1776 after The Declaration of Independence was adopted. Franklin goes on a mission to France as commissioner for the United States, taking his 16-year-old grandson, William Temple Franklin with him.

The full ensemble cast is announced for the remake of 1989’s The War Of The Roses which will star Olivia Colman and Benedict Cumberbatch.
It’s been just over a month since we learned that Jay Roach would be remaking the 1989 relationship comedy, War Of The Roses and we now have a fuller idea of what the film’s cast looks like.
We already knew that the new adaptation would be starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman as the central couple, who just like Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner in the 1989 original, proceed with a nasty yet entertaining divorce.
A fresh report (via Deadline) has now confirmed that the film’s cast will be rounded out by Kate McKinnon, Andy Samberg and Doctor Who's Ncuti Gatwa.
McKinnon and Samberg are both established comedy stars who’ve led films themselves, so grabbing them both in supporting roles is a real coup.

Diane Keaton is a living lesson to all the female actors in the industry on how to stay relevant for more than 50 years. Keaton is definitely one of the most successful actors of all time with a glorious resume of credits to her name. The actor never got married and enjoyed her life as a single woman throughout her long illustrious career.

France has never had trouble getting people to fall in love with its many pleasures: the Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, and the island majesty of Mont Saint-Michel. It sells itself, which is probably why it is such a sought-after backdrop for television series.
But in the last year, France has been shown even more love than usual, as more than half a dozen shows, all vying for Emmy attention this season, explored the country through the ages. And no, this wasn’t some elaborate promotion for the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
From the 1600s to the modern day to a post-zombie apocalypse future, no cultural stone went unturned on TV this year, giving viewers even more reason to book their next (hopefully zombie-free) vacation.

Exclusive: Abramorama has acquired North American theatrical distribution rights to the Michael Douglas-narrated documentary America’s Burning, directed by bestselling writer David Smick and produced by Ian Michaels. The film will hit theaters July 12.
America’s Burning follows the U.S. economy’s journey over time as the country has been a massive wealth-creating machine, but only half of the country has access to the markets. Capitalism has, as James Carville put it, become “a racket” — the ultimate corporate insider’s club, a system centrally controlled by the well-connected few. The middle class is shrinking, and the American Dream’s promise of social mobility for all who work hard is dying. However, America has an impressive history of resilience, and the film shows why our best days could still lie ahead. Watch a trailer below.

From leading the most acclaimed Star Wars release, The Empire Strikes Back to starring in Raiders of the Lost Ark and Blade Runner, the ’80s saw Harrison Ford at his peak. Moreover, apart from taking leading roles in major sci-fi and fantasy releases, he also made sure to star in several acclaimed dramas, including Witness, which earned him an Oscar nod for Best Actor.
But while Ford took on many iconic gigs, especially in the 80s, the actor also chose to turn down a plethora of them, including Brian De Palma’s The Untouchables.

Last month Eddie Marsan faced a happy dilemma: two high-profile projects in which he co-stars –Apple TV+ series “Franklin” led by Michael Douglas and Sam Taylor Johnson’s highly-anticipated Amy Winehouse biopic “Back to Black” – were both being released on the same day, April 12, in Marsan’s native U.K. (“Back to Black came out in the U.S. on May 17).
The resulting publicity maelstrom was, Marsan says, “intense.” And yet despite that, the actor – who has starred in over 150 screen projects including “Ray Donovan,” “Deadpool 2” and Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes,” can truthfully claim to be “not really that famous.”

By the mid-1950s, Alfred Hitchcock had firmly established himself as the master director of suspense films, but he still enjoyed experimenting with new technology (including 3-D) and collaborating with novice actresses. On May 29, 1954, he released “Dial M for Murder,” in which he incorporated some filmmaking fads of the day and made a star out of an actress whose short career begat a long-lasting legacy. Read on for more about the “Dial M for Murder” 70th anniversary.

Corey Stoll depicted the character Darren Cross, also known as Yellowjacket, in ‘Ant-Man.’ In the film, Stoll’s character serves as the CEO of Pym Technologies and becomes fixated on replicating the technology of Dr. Hank Pym (portrayed by Michael Douglas). This obsession leads him to create the Yellowjacket suit, which shares similarities with Ant-Man’s suit but with a militaristic agenda.
Although his arc seemingly concludes in ‘Ant-Man,’ Stoll returned to the MCU in the recently released ‘Quantumania,’ albeit under a different guise – M.O.D.O.K.

Morgan Freeman did not reach the heights in Hollywood by always playing Mr. Nice Guy. His ruthless decision to fire a famous rapper from one of his movies shows the actor’s commitment to his craft. In 2013, Freeman joined forces with Robert De Niro, Michael Douglas, and Kevin Kline to star in the comedy film Last Vegas. The film was supposed to have rapper T.I. in a supporting role in the film.

“Material Girl” by Madonna isn’t actually about being materialistic. The music video for the song makes that abundantly clear. Madonna wasn’t happy when people took the song the wrong way.
Madonna’s ‘Material Girl’ led to an annoying nickname
Madonna broke into the mainstream with her self-titled album, which includes the hits “Holiday,” “Borderline,” and “Lucky Star.” Of course, this impressive trio of songs didn’t convince everyone that Madonna was here to stay. “In the beginning, I was called everything from a Disco Dolly to a one-hit wonder,” Madonna said in 1999. Everyone agreed that I was sexy, but no one would agree that I had any talent, which really irritated me.”
“Material Girl” was one of the hits from Madonna’s second album, Like a Virgin. It proved Madonna was no one-album wonder, but the Queen of Pop didn’t like when the press started calling her “the Material Girl.

The slow-moving first season of Amazon’s sci-fi Western “Outer Range,” ostensibly about a void in the middle of a pasture owned by Royal Abbott (Oscar nominee Josh Brolin), didn’t answer many (or really any) of the questions it put forth. By the end of Season 1 we knew for certain that the gaping hole in the ground allowed people to travel through time, but little else was revealed or explained. The show was comfortable to let viewers quietly ponder the meaning of life, the universe, and everything as its many interconnected subplots unfolded. It was also a stunning advertisement for New Mexico (standing in for Wyoming) thanks to the wide sweeping vistas that acted as the show’s backdrop. But new showrunner Charles Murray knows we can’t subsist on beautiful scenery and vague discussions about time forever, so Season 2 — the seven episodes of which are now streaming on...

Over the last few years, we’ve seen the rise of intimacy coordinators in Hollywood, but Michael Douglas wonders whether it’s not just executives stepping on the toes of filmmakers.
“It’s interesting with all the intimacy coordinators,” Michael Douglas told The Telegraph. “It feels like executives taking control away from filmmakers – but there have been some terrible faux pas and harassment.“
Douglas added: “Sex scenes are like fight scenes, it’s all choreographed. In my experience you take responsibility as the man to make sure the woman is comfortable, you talk it through. You say, ‘Ok, I’m gonna touch you here if that’s all right’. It’s very slow but looks like it’s happening organically, which is hopefully what good acting looks like.“

Image Source: Amazon While Basic Instinct was a huge hit with movie audiences back in 1992, critics were, at the time, underwhelmed. The film’s three stars — Michael Douglas, Sharon Stone, and Jeanne Tripplehorn — all wound up with Golden Raspberry nominations for their performances. With the passage of time, however, Basic Instinct has undergone a critical re-evaluation, with several critics now believing it’s one of the essential films of its era. Regardless of its outside reception, though, Douglas will always look back at Basic Instinct as one of his most difficult films. As he said at the time of its release, the Joe Eszterhas script guaranteed that he wouldn’t be getting much rest during the shoot. Meryl Streep, the most celebrated screen actress of her time, added another prize to her collection — one of the few that she hadn’t received already — when she was presented with an honorary Palme d’Or during the opening ceremony of the 77th Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday night.
Upon being called to the stage and handed the gold-plated emblem of the city of Cannes by French actress Juliette Binoche, the 74-year-old received a thunderous 2.5-minute standing ovation from the more than 2,000 guests who packed the Grand Lumiere Theatre. Among them was Greta Gerwig, Streep’s Little Women director and this year’s Cannes jury president, who wiped away tears as Streep basked in the applause.
“You changed the way we look at women,” said Binoche, choking up with emotion as Streep comforted her.

At that time, Snyder was working on his DC movie, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Batman V Superman starred Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. In an interview, Zack Snyder was asked his views on Marvel movies and the director took a potshot at Ant-Man. The Rebel Moon director told The Daily Beast, “I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they’re Batman and Superman. By and large, the inclusion of intimacy coordinators seems to be a good thing for the industry. In fact, it’s sad when you think about all those decades when they weren’t on set to help make sure everyone was comfortable performing these incredibly sensitive moments. That said, there are still people who don’t believe intimacy coordinators are necessary and, in fact, do more harm than good. One such person is Michael Douglas.

“Slow Horses” star Gary Oldman is the frontrunner to win Best Drama Actor at the upcoming Emmys. Oldman earned his first and only Oscar six years ago for his portrayal of World War II-era British prime minister Winston Churchill in “Darkest Hour.” That win was sandwiched between two other lead bids for “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy” (2012) and “Mank” (2021). His sole Emmy nomination to date came in 2001 for his guest appearance in the two-part seventh season finale of “Friends”; he lost to Derek Jacobi (“Frasier”).
On Apple TV+’s “Slow Horses,” which is based on a series of novels by Mick Herron, Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, a particularly uncouth MI5 officer saddled with the responsibility of supervising a group of service rejects. This constitutes his very first regular role on a continuing series and his first live action TV performance at all in over two decades.

Francis Lawrence's 2007 post-apocalyptic drama "I Am Legend" is based loosely on the celebrated 1954 novel by Richard Matheson. The original novel is set in the near future of 1976 when a destructive war has ravaged the Earth, and a horrible virus has infected the survivors. The virus transforms its victims into pale-skinned, nocturnal ghouls with an appetite for human blood, more or less making them vampires. The novel follows Robert Neville, seemingly the last human alive, as he tries to survive in a ravaged Los Angeles and study the virus during the daylight hours. The title comes from the novel's famous twist ending.
"I Am Legend" was adapted to film in 1964 as "The Last Man on Earth," and in 1971 as "The Omega Man," before Lawrence's 2007 version. Lawrence's version transposes the action to New York and makes Neville (Will Smith) into a surviving virologist attempting to come up with a cure for the vampire virus.

It is the spring of “Baby Reindeer.” Netflix’s addictive limited series about a struggling comedian (Richard Gadd) working at a bar who makes the biggest mistake of his life when he gives a lonely woman (Jessica Gunning) a cup of tea on the house is the most watched series currently on the streamer and viewership is growing. And the fact that it’s based on a true story, makes “Baby Reindeer” even more creep and chilling. It’s a must-see voyeur thriller.
The same was true in the fall of 1987 with Adrian Lyne’s “Fatal Attraction.” Audiences flocked to the hard R-rated thriller which starred a wild-haired Glenn Close as an editor with a publishing company who has one-night stand with a happily married attorney (Michael Douglas) whose wife and daughter are out of town. Though it’s “understood” that it’s just a fling, Close’s Alex just won’t let go.

Michael Douglas is in terrific form as Benjamin Franklin in Apple TV’s new historical limited series “Franklin” but he isn’t the only actor to emerge with awards whispers whizzing through the air. Veteran actor Eddie Marsan features in a key supporting role as John Adams and delivers one of the finest performances of his career while also shining a new light onto a man that many actors have depicted before.
The limited series follows Franklin’s eight years in France as he tried to persuade King Louis XVI (Tom Pezier) to join the colonies’ cause and aid them in the American Revolutionary War. The scenes between Douglas and Marsan are nothing short of spectacular and Marsan nails his performance as Adams, as noted by critics.
Clint Worthington (Roger Ebert) noted: “Marsan’s energy as Adams is decidedly different from Paul Giamatti’s in Ellis’ original 2008 miniseries—“Franklin” feels...
