For a fifth year in a row, Spotify House proved to be the go-to spot for special guests and surprises during CMA Fest weekend in Nashville.

Last year’s Grammy Award lineup for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance was somewhat weak, with most of the nominees being deep album cuts rather than big singles. Even the ones that were singles were not particularly major hits, at least not to the level that past winners in the category have been. Is this becoming the new normal? This year’s lineup is also looking pretty scarce so far, although there are some contenders whose wins would be significant due to certain other factors.
The frontrunner right now seems to be Taylor Swift and Post Malone’s “Fortnight,” which has made huge waves. The single served as the lead for Swift’s new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” and became an instant hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks and breaking the record for the most streamed song in a single day on Spotify. When you go into a craft like acting, where there are so many moving parts between the writing, the direction, and the overall production, making something that will shine for critics isn't always a guarantee.
That is unless you are the siren of the big and little screen that is Riley Keough, whose impressive body of work has earned her much well-deserved acclaim.
Seriously, search the actress and her filmography if you want to see what it's like to have critics foaming at the mouth for your next television or film role.
Before we go any further, let's go ahead and address the elephant in the room.
Yes, Riley Keough is the eldest granddaughter of Elvis and Lisa Marie Presley, so it should be no surprise that she did amazing as the titular lead singer in a miniseries about a band.

Post Malone has been rubbing elbows and making music with some of the biggest names in country music today. Recently, Posty teased an epic collaboration with Blake Shelton, something that even has Blake’s wife, Gwen Stefani, excited for what these two industry heavyweights cooked up together in the studio.

Brody Malone is ready for a potential second Olympic appearance at the 2024 Paris Games, but the 23-year-old gymnast is taking a levelheaded approach to expectations.
“I haven’t made the team quite yet, so I still have to go through that process,” Malone said in his new uInterview. “To be honest with you, I don’t like to have expectations going into a competition. Fred M. Wilcox's 1956 sci-fi classic "Forbidden Planet" was a notably opulent affair, at least as sci-fi films go. Its budget at the time was only $1.96 million (which shakes out to about $22 million today) comparatively small to the historical epics Hollywood was overspending on at the time; "The Ten Commandments," for instance, cost a whopping $13 million, while 1956's Best Picture winner, "Around the World in 80 Days" cost about $6 million. "Forbidden Planet" was a production on par with 1953's "War of the Worlds," a colorful, large-scale production infused with fantastical spacecraft and weird robots. Robby (voiced by Marvin Miller), the robot featured in "Forbidden Planet," reportedly cost $125,000 to make — about a million in today's dollars.
The production designer on the film was Arthur Lonergan, the Oscar winner behind "The Oscar." Prior to "Forbidden Planet," Lonergan had an extensive career working on shows like "Mr. & Mrs. North," and on low-profile films like "Black Beauty,...

Taylor Swift has us up in the clouds with her latest remix in collaboration with DJ Blond:ish. The duo released a soaring, revved up version of “Fortnight,” featuring Post Malone, on Tuesday evening.
The single, which debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100, was one of the songs off The Tortured Poets Department that took up the first 14 slots on the chart last month — breaking Swifts own Hot 100 record she previously set with Midnights in 2022.
Four hours before dropping, Blondish teased the collaboration on Instagram Stories, writing, “Gonna drop a curveball tonight.

From one 1999 horror remake to another. After rewatching The Haunting with eyes that were both more critical and 25 years older, it got me thinking about the other remake that came out that year. One that was a remake of a far sillier movie and that was the first effort from a new studio, namely Dark Castle Entertainment. The original was from a far less dark castle in that of schlock and gimmick purveyor William Castle and it starred Vincent Price as a man offering strangers money to stay in an allegedly haunted house for a night. While The Haunting failed on multiple levels to improve with age, how does House on Haunted Hill (watch it Here) look after a quarter of a century? Does its cheesy yet graphic tone feel at home in the time of A24 and elevated horror or should it forfeit its 1 million dollar check and leave the cursed grounds forever.

A second memoir on Hollywood media mogul John Malone appears to be in the works.
“Well, he’s had one,” Liberty Media CEO Greg Maffei told the MoffettNathanson Media, Internet & Communications Conference during a session that was webcast on Tuesday. Jeff Zucker, the former president of CNN and CEO of NBCUniversal, explained his M&a focus with RedBird Imi during a conference appearance in London on Thursday, saying that “quality programming that you own … will continue to be the key” in a media industry that has been facing “disruption” and various challenges.
The investment firm bases its work on a key premise. “The idea is that intellectual property and quality content, whether it’s entertainment or news and information, will succeed in the long run with the proper eventual amount of capital and patience,” the industry veteran explained at the Wall Street Journal event.

Nearly two years ago, former Tci Cable CEO and Liberty Global Chairman John Malone offered a rare interview to financial news channel CNBC. Like many media and entertainment executives, Malone had streaming on the mind — the industry was emerging from a time when media companies were spending big on content production and marketing to build up their direct-to-consumer services, but few firms were seeing any substantial and sustainable returns.
With his usual calm cadence, Malone laid out the problem: Consumers like streaming, but companies were working too hard to placate everyone, everywhere all at once. Companies were losing millions of dollars offering their subscription services at low cost. Subscribers could churn out of a service with a simple click, and trying to win them back was an expensive proposition. TV and film fans weren’t signing up in droves to watch original programs...

Forty years ago, you might be hard-pressed to find anyone in the country who regularly watched the political affairs network called C-span, let alone anyone who actually knew what it was.
Today, the brand is as synonymous as Xerox (copy machines) or Scotch tape (adhesive tape) — it’s a stand-in for any kind of live television coverage related to the hearings, votes and political affairs of Congress and other government agencies, to include the White House.
If it’s political in nature, it’s probably on C-span. But not everything aired on C-Span originates with the networks.
Take, for instance, hearings from the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. Colloquially, political aficionados and even journalists refer to the coverage as originating from “C-span cameras,” even though they don’t.

Mark Wahlberg is often seen without tattoos nowadays, but this wasn’t always the case. The actor’s body used to be marked everywhere with tattoos in his younger years. Wahlberg regretted inking his body as he’d gotten older, and he tried to make sure his kids wouldn’t repeat his mistake.

Wahlberg found out the hard way that removing tattoos is much more painful than getting them. The actor had been inking his body since he was 11-years-old. So when he decided to get rid of them, he had a lot of tattoos to deal with.
“I had, like, eight or nine. They went all the way around my neck, my stomach, my arms, my back, my leg,” Wahlberg once said on The Late, Late Show with James Corden.

Kristen Stewart and Katy O’Brien excel in Saint Maud director Rose Glass’ sophomore feature. Here’s our review of Love Lies Bleeding.
If there was any concern or doubt that Rose Glass, the director of 2019’s Saint Maud, wasn’t the real deal, her new film puts all that to rest. Glass’ second feature, Love Lies Bleeding, is a haunting, pulpy affair about the whirlwind romance between a gym manager and an aspiring bodybuilder.

The cast is rounded out by Jena Malone, Dave Franco and Ed Harris, who sports a particularly impressive hair-do. In a lesser film such ridiculous, over-the-top hair extensions might be a distraction, but here they only add to the uneasy,...

It was the Post Malone duet that drew the most buzz, as the twosome debuted their new song “I Had Some Help.” Ahead of the festival, Malone — who performed a covers-and-guests-filled Stagecoach set under the moniker Posty Goes Country — teased his forthcoming collaboration with Wallen. The first snippet arrived in December, with another preview coming in hot on the eve of Stagecoach’s opening night.

Alien artist Hr Giger was involved in a number of film projects in the 1980s and 90s. We talk to filmmaker William Malone about some amazing films that never happened.
Given just how genre-defining 1979’s Alien was, it’s perhaps surprising that Hr Giger, the Swiss artist who designed the title monster, wasn’t involved in more films. His creations appeared in the likes of Poltergeist II: The Other Side (1986), Species (1995), plus a little-seen German indie comedy horror called Killer Condoms (1996), but none were as high-profile or influential as Alien.
In the wake of that genre-defining space horror, other artists and designers tinkered with Giger’s unforgettable xenomorph in its sequels. Giger wasn’t involved in the making of Aliens, Alien Resurrection or subsequent prequels or spin-offs, and his work for Alien 3 was barely used. Instead, Giger had the curious habit of coming up with concepts and artwork for...

Media mogul John Malone’s Liberty Media — which owns audio entertainment powerhouse SiriusXM, the Formula One racing circuit, and a stake in events promoter Live Nation Entertainment, among others — has disclosed that president and CEO Greg Maffei’s 2023 compensation package amounted to $28.66 million, compared with $22.36 million in 2022. He had earned $21.58 million in 2021.
A regulatory filing emphasized that Maffei’s and other executives’ salary portion of their compensation packages “represents only that portion of each named executive officer’s salary that was allocated to our company,” adding that “the portion of Mr. Maffei’s base salary attributable to the former Braves Group” is reported in that company’s proxy statement. The proxy for the Braves, which Liberty previously split off, shows Maffei as having received a $210,000 salary in 2023.

Post Malone, Vault Comics and Michael Bay and Brad Fuller’s Platinum Dunes have partnered to create an all-new IP universe based on an original story by the recording artist.
Blending elements of road thrillers like “Mad Max: Fury Road” and demonic horror like “Evil Dead,” Malone’s story is set in medieval Europe, where the only thing standing in the way of the horde of demons infesting the continent is a mysterious armored 18-wheeler seemingly sent back from the heavens.
“I’m so pumped to share this badass story with the world, and I couldn’t ask for better partners than Michael Bay and Vault to help bring this story to life,” says Malone.
Working closely with Malone, Vault will launch the story first as a graphic novel, set for publication in 2025. Meanwhile, Post Malone, Platinum Dunes and Vault will concurrently develop a feature film adaptation.

Between appearing in a minor role for Doug Liman’s Road House, singing alongside Taylor Swift on the chart-topping hit “Fortnight,” and making history with the first-ever RIAA-certified Double-Diamond single, everything is coming up Milhouse for Post Malone. Not content to rest on his laurels, Malone is partnering with Michael Bay, Brad Fuller’s Platinum Dunes, and Vault Comics to create an all-new IP universe based on an original idea from the unstoppable auto-tune-loving artist.

Taylor Swift and Post Malone Were in the ‘Tortured Poets Department’ Together Way Before ‘Fortnight’
Throughout her career, Taylor Swift has landed 232 songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Included in that are the 49 songs that broke into the Top 10. Within that, 11 topped the chart. Despite having an inescapable presence in pop for over a decade, there’s one artist’s record in particular that sparked envy in her. “‘Better Now’ is so insane,” she told Post Malone when she passed him backstage at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. “I’m so jealous of that song — that hook.” Last year, in an interview with Howard Stern, Malone recalled the interaction,...

Any time a game that cites Condemned: Criminal Origins as an inspiration is worth checking out. Case in point: DOSMan Games and publisher VoxPop today have released their lo-fi psychological thriller, Concrete Visions to Steam, which borrows heavily from games such as the aforementioned Condemned: Criminal Origins, along with Quantic Dream’s Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy.
Focusing on melee combat and environmental exploration, Concrete Visions centres on the town of Stonebrook, which thanks to its residents having mysteriously disappeared, is now deserted. All that remains are the junkies, dregs, and scum of the town, headed up by their cult-like leader, Malone. And they’re all on your tail. You’ll need to fight your way through the cold streets and wild overgrowth on a quest for answers, safety, and freedom.
