X-Men fans have been clamouring to see Wolverine in his distinctive costume for many years, but the closest Hugh Jackman ever came to suiting-up in Logan's comic book duds was taking a quick glimpse at the outfit in a deleted scene from James Mangold's The Wolverine.
Jackman will finally don the yellow and blue suit in next month's Deadpool and Wolverine, and while we haven't actually seen a live-action shot of the Aussie actor in the mask, he is expected to wear it at some point in the movie.
There's been speculation that we may only see Logan with the cowl on for a single scene (possibly even as a gag to troll fans), but it sounds like he will appear in the full costume for a little longer than that!
Insider Daniel Richtman has heard that we will see Wolvie in the mask for 10 minutes.

Patrick Stewart has played an umpteen number of iconic characters in his long career. The actor is as versatile as one can be and is unafraid to take on roles that one might not necessarily see him in. His most popular role is undoubtedly his long run as Professor X in the Marvel Universe. The actor has played the character since the 2000s and most recently in 2022’s Doctor Strange 2.

In current times, inclusivity and representation have become a very important necessity in any workplace or industry. Charles Xavier famously moves with the help of a wheelchair as he is paralyzed below his waist. With the question of whether a new Professor X should be played by a differently abled person, Stewart feels that putting that kind of specificity restricts creativity.

You may have had your fill of Deadpool and Wolverine posters after yesterday's deluge, but Dolby has now shared their official one-sheet for the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut, and it appears to take inspiration from the poster for 2003's Anger Management starring Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson!
In related news, Cineplex has announced that the movie has passed $1 million in ticket pre-sales.
This marks another pre-sale milestone, after AMC Theaters announced that the film sold more tickets on day one than any other R-rated movie in the company's history last month.
The prospect of seeing Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson joining forces with Hugh Jackman's Logan is clearly a huge draw, and while it obviously remains to be seen how the movie ultimately performs at the box office, this is a very good sign.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is generating significant anticipation as one of the most exciting upcoming projects in the MCU. Scheduled for release in 2024, it’s already drawing praise from those who have seen previews, with expectations high for its impact on the franchise’s reputation.
As with any highly anticipated project, rumors abound regarding potential cameos, variants, and plot elements, with some confirmations, such as Jennifer Garner’s Elektra, and others still under speculation, supported by mounting evidence. To provide clarity, let’s explore the confirmed and rumored cameos and variants expected in the film.
Aaron Stanford – John Allerdyce/Pyro (Confirmed)
Aaron Stanford’s return was initially speculated, along with a few other minor X-Men villains, though his appearance was later confirmed in the trailer. While he only briefly appears on screen, his unmistakable costume leaves no doubt about his identity. Earlier this year, he had denied any involvement in the movie.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is one of the most exciting upcoming projects. It’s the only MCU movie bound to be released in 2024, and judging by the opinions of people who already saw parts of it, it’s going to be an MCU saver and restore the faith of fans in the franchise overall.
Just like with every anticipated project, plenty of rumors are going around about potential cameos, variants, and elements of the movie. Some have been confirmed like Garner’s Elektra, and some remain under speculation, with more and more evidence stacking to support them. This is why we decided to overview all confirmed (and rumored) cameos & variants that are supposed to be included in the movie.

Is it July 26 yet? The anticipation for Deadpool & Wolverine is so thick you can’t cut it with adamantium claws! Fans have been dreaming of a proper Wade Wilson and Wolverine crossover for years after the disappointment of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Whoever thought silencing Deadpool was a good idea should have their head examined. But I digress. A batch of new Deadpool & Wolverine posters are making the rounds, highlighting the upcoming film’s premiere screening formats and getting fans hot in all the right/wrong places.
The new Deadpool & Wolverine posters promote the 4Dx, Imax, Screen X, Dolby, and Real 3D film versions, with an exclusive print from Fandango for shiggles. All the posters feature Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and Logan Howlett in various poses. Whether they’re arguing, trying to kill each other, or driving a car Thelma & Louise-style, the dynamic duo is clearly infatuated with one another,...

There was some talk of a final trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine being released today, and while a new teaser might arrive later in the week, for now we have a series of new posters courtesy of Fandango, 4Dx Global, Screen X and Real D 3D.
The Real D one-sheet sees Logan and Wade Wilson standing against a car that's seen better days, while Fandango's effort spotlights a cute crayon drawing of the mismatched pair alongside Dogpool.
The Pool-ified pooch also joins the fray on a fiery banner from Screen X, and 4Dx's poster finds the Merc With a Mouth resting his head on his "best friend's" shoulder.
One thing all these posters have in common is a lack of mask! At this stage, it seems highly likely that Marvel Studios intends to save the big reveal of Wolvie in his full costume until the movie hits theaters next month.

Diving into the world of comics reveals an interesting trend. For the longest part of their existence, the team of mutants enjoyed a celebrated status in-universe, at times exceeding those of their more human counterparts. However, in live-action, the group of remarkable actors handpicked by Kevin Feige surpassed both box office and pop culture popularity with 2012’s The Avengers in contrast to the X-Men, which came to life at the hands of Fox, years before.

Lilly Wachowski’s Anarchists United Foundation is boarding Circle Management + Production’s Writers Discovery Fellowship as a co-partner.
The nonprofit organization, founded by the Matrix co-filmmaker during last summer’s strikes to address inequity in the entertainment industry, will financially support and help operate the program for unsigned TV writers from historically excluded backgrounds. Circle announced its rebrand from Circle of Confusion last week.
“Anarchists United is a response to the hyper-commodification of our industry, an attempt to carve out space for underrepresented artists who seem to be being pushed further into the margins,” Wachowski said in a statement. “This is antithetical to what filmmaking means to me. It is building in community. Our specific kind of communal art is analogous to what it means to be a human being.”

A new international poster for Deadpool and Wolverine has been released to mark the final day of the French Open. The banner reuses images from previous marketing material, but replaces one of the Merc With a Mouth's signature swords with a tennis racket.
Some promo art aside, we have yet to see Hugh Jackman don Wolverine's comic-accurate mask, though we have been assured that he will at some point in the movie.
There's a good chance Marvel Studios will save the big reveal for when audiences are sitting down to watch the threequel next month, but thanks to a pair of life-sized statues that were spotted at Roppongi Hills in Japan, we have arguably our most detailed look yet at Logan in his full costume.

A number of Deadpool Variants have been confirmed to make an appearance in Deadpool and Wolverine, including Dogpool, Headpool and Kidpool, but up until last night, we still weren't sure whether Ladypool would show up.
Though we only got a quick glimpse of the character's legs, the "Best Friends Day" teaser made it pretty clear that Ladypool, aka Lady Deadpool, aka Wanda Wilson, will be strutting into Marvel Studio' upcoming theequel.
Speculation mounted that Taylor Swift - who has also been rumored for Dazzler - may have been cast as Lady Deadpool when the pop megastar was spotted hanging out with Reynolds, Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy at MetLife Stadium for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets game during the strikes, and Reynolds' wife Blake Lively is another popular fan theory.

The run-time for Marvel Studios' Deadpool and Wolverine has been revealed, and Shawn Levy's R-rated threequel will be the longest movie in the franchise.
The amount of cameos we're expecting to see led to some speculation that D&w might run close to 2 and a half hours (as many major studio releases do these days), but according to official theater listings, The Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut will clock-in at 2 hours and 7 minutes.
The first Deadpool movie ran for just 1 hour, 48 minutes, while the sequel had a 2-hour run-time.
In addition, the Deadpool Updates fan page has shared a first look at some of the tie-in merchandise that'll be hitting shelves soon, and we also have another promo image featuring Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds).

Giancarlo Esposito recently made headlines by expressing his desire to play Professor X in the MCU, but without the wheelchair, citing his age as a factor. Deadpool And Wolverine Officially Rated R For "Bloody Violence, Language, Gore, & Sexual References"
When it was announced that Marvel Studios was moving forward with a third Deadpool movie, it was generally assumed that the Merc With a Mouth's antics would be toned down to meet the usual PG-13 rating.
After all, it was difficult to imagine the Disney-owned studio giving the go-ahead to an McU-set project filled with gruesome violence, F-bombs, and whatever other outrageous references/innuendo Wade Wilson's unhinged mind could conjure up.
Director Shawn Levy would later confirm the rumors that the movie would be rated R, and any lingering doubts vanished after the first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine showcased plenty of blood, bad language, and... pegging.
Now, the MPA has given the movie an official R-rating for: "Strong bloody violence and language throughout, gore, and sexual references."

Disney/Marvel Studios kicked off April's CinemaCon presentation with a fun "silence your cellphones" PSA featuring Deadpool and Wolverine, and the spot is now playing in theaters - minus the multiple F-bombs!
A shorter, poor-quality version of this leaked earlier this month, but the full thing has now found its way online.
The teaser begins with Wade Wilson attempting to tell Logan which characters are set to debut in Avengers: Secret Wars, but every time he tries, he's interrupted by a cellphone ringing. Finally, the notoriously grouchy mutant pushes the Merc with a Mouth out of the way and breaks the fourth wall himself.
"Hey, bub, You're in a movie theater, not your grandma's nursing home - turn off your f*cking phone!" Deadpool then chimes back in by mentioning that Wolvie talking this way makes his "d*ck vibrate." He then adds, "Nice fourth wall break, didn't think ya had it in ya!

Giancarlo Esposito has been cast in the MCU in a role that fans are not aware of. According to the actor, the role is such that it could spawn a series of its own. Previously, Esposito had expressed his interest in playing the role of Charles Xavier, but without the wheelchair. The actor had also been speculated to be in the running to play some of Marvel’s bigger characters like Doctor Doom or Galactus.
Giancarlo Esposito as Stan Edgar in The Boys | Amazon Studios
There are multiple characters that Giancarlo Esposito could play, but it is difficult to pinpoint which it could be. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to introducing original characters in the MCU, or even race-bending or gender-bending them. Therefore, speculating what the actor might be up to in the franchise can be tricky. However, there are some roles that would thoroughly disappoint fans and...

That damn Dune: Part Two monstrosity has a lot to answer for!
In response to the unintentionally (or so they'd have us believe) lewd Sandworm popcorn bucket that went on sale earlier this year to tie-in with the release of Denis Villeneuve's sci-fi sequel, Ryan Reynolds promised that a very much intentionally lewd Deadpool and Wolverine bucket was on the way, and the actor has now unveiled our first look.
This is... yeah. Honestly, we're not even going to bother explaining this one, as we're sure it'll be a lot more effective if you just watch the reveal video for yourselves.
Years from now they will look back at 2024 as the year the War of the Popcorn Buckets began. #history #DeadpoolAndWolverine ❤️...

Apologies to the Dune: Part Two popcorn bucket, but you’ll need to hold Deadpool & Wolverine‘s beer as a new receptacle for buttery popped kernels takes the crown. Ryan Reynolds is making savory snack enthusiasts think filthy thoughts after debuting the limited-edition popcorn bucket for Deadpool & Wolverine.
The Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket gives audiences the gift of an open-mouthed Logan Howlett while wearing his X-Men ’97 costume. In a new video posted to Reynolds’ YouTube page, the Merc With a Mouth promotes the suggestive popcorn bucket by lovingly stroking Logan’s plastic face as a popcorn waterfall fills the surly hero’s gaping maw with delicious treats. Immediately, one imagines opportunistic movie fans planking over the bucket with wicked intentions. No? Just me? Clearly, y’all need to spend more time on the internet.
If you’re interested in owning the Deadpool & Wolverine popcorn bucket, you’ll need to act fast.

Deadpool & Wolverine: The Merc With A Mouth Hijacks What If...? - An Immersive Story In Fun New Clip
Marvel Studios and Ilm Immersive's What If...? - An Immersive Story is now available for Apple Vision Pro, and one fan was in for a pleasant(?) surprise during a play through of the "hour-long mixed reality experience."
After entering the Tva, Miss Minutes introduces the player to their new co-worker: The Merc with A Mouth!
The screen then shows a moment from the first Deadpool and Wolverine trailer, with Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson dancing out of the elevator. This clip goes on a little longer, however, with Deadpool posing suggestively and reeling off some flirty dialogue.
While there's always a chance Reynolds recorded new dialogue, this is more likely a fourth wall-break from the movie, with the visual looped for the purposes of the game.
Check out the clip below, and let us know if you plan on giving What If..? - An Immersive Story a go in the comments.

Fans are divided because some still hope Patrick Stewart will be the main Charles Xavier in the MCU, despite his character’s death in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’
During a panel at Ccxp’s Thunder Stage, Esposito confirmed he will appear in a Marvel project, but clarified it won’t be as Professor X.
A few days ago at the Phoenix Fusion Event, Esposito revealed that his MCU role will eventually lead to a Disney+ series.

According to Murphy’s Multiverse, Esposito will debut in ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ playing a villainous role added by Matthew Orton.

After Dafne Keen's acclaimed performance as Laura/X-23 in 2017's Logan, it was generally assumed that the young actress would get the opportunity to reprise the role down the line.
Of course, this was before Disney acquired 20th Century Fox's assets in 2019's highly-publicized takeover.
Keen has since confirmed that there were indeed tentative plans in place for an X-23 spinoff before the acquisition, but said she didn't hear anything about it after the deal went through. However, the announcement that Marvel Studios was moving forward with a third Deadpool movie (now titled Deadpool and Wolverine) gave the His Dark Materials and The Acolyte star hope that we could see the clawed mutant follow the Merc With a Mouth into MCU.

It’s safe to say that the X-Men universe is filled with alluring characters. Over the years, we’ve been introduced to mutants that have made our jaw drop. While fans have debated the title of the hottest X-Men Character for years, we decided to finally settle the debate (or spark it up even more).
In this list, we will rank the X-Men characters based on their attractive qualities—the flair, charisma, and dynamic personalities behind these characters that make them so desirable. So, let’s get to it.
Wolverine (Hugh Jackman)
With a skeleton laced with adamantium, Wolverine has always been a fan favourite. But Hugh Jackman’s dedication to the role made this mutant a charmer. Much like Robert Downey Jr.’s Ironman, the role of Wolverine fits Hugh Jackman like a glove.

Giancarlo Esposito recently confirmed that he had joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe... but not as the character he's been campaigning to play over the past few months, Charles Xavier.
During Ccxp back in May (via Collider), Esposito revealed that he will be appearing in a Marvel Studios project, but declined to reveal any more details. The actor did say that we'd find out "sooner rather than later," and the role is "better than you can imagine."
There was some speculation that Esposito might show up in the cameo-filled Deadpool and Wolverine, but according to Mttsh, he will be making his MCU debut in an upcoming Disney+ series.
Does this narrow down the character possibilities? Not really, since we have Agatha All Along, Ironheart, Daredevil: Born Again, and the recently announced Vision series all on the horizon, as well as more Marvel Spotlight presentations such as Wonder Man.

The mastermind behind the iconic MCU show X-Men ’97, Beau DeMayo recently shared his top 10 plot ideas for the series. Following the conclusion of season 1, as the show awaits its next installment, DeMayo posted an image via his X account that took a hilarious dig at the X-Men comics and its treatment towards one particular mutant.

For some fans, the arc of X-Men as mutant outsiders fighting for their right to fit in, be represented, or at best, to co-exist beside humans, feels more real than the world they live in. As such, Professor Xavierʼs never-ending struggle to mediate, guide, lead, train, shelter, and sometimes pioneer the war against injustice and suffering also resonates among fans who see themselves as outsiders.

It’s been 10 years since X-Men: Days of Future Past hit theatres, ushering in an endgame to a universe that would not be replicated until Avengers: Infinity War, four years later. It closed the book in the older generation of X-Men that had carried the franchise until their younger variants had been introduced in X-Men: First Class.

The X-Men are due to make thier appearance in the MCU, and there are a lot of theories as to how they will be integrated into the history of the franchise. Some have suggested that mutants will enter the MCU from a different universe, one that will be assimilated into the sacred timeline. However, another theory has emerged, suggesting that the X-Men have already been part of the MCU.
The X-Men | Marvel Comics
There have been multiple theories about how the X-Men exist in the MCU. Some have suggested that Charles Xavier is responsible for hiding mutants in the MCU, while others say that the mutants will slowly emerge now that The Blip has been undone. There is one theory that suggests that not only have mutants always existed in the MCU, but some sort of cataclysmic event wiped them out from the memories of the general public.

The first trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine smashed global records back in February by scoring 365 million views in 24 hours, and the Merc With a Mouth's MCU debut has now broken another pre-release record.
Tickets went on sale earlier this week with a new teaser (check it out below), and the CEO of AMC Theaters, Adam Aron, has now announced that the superhero team-up movie sold more tickets on day one than any other R-rated movie in the company's history.
This is just one theater chain, of course, but AMC is the biggest in the world, with the largest share of the U.S. theater market ahead of Regal and Cinemark.
The prospect of seeing Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson joining forces with Hugh Jackman's Logan is clearly a huge draw, and while it obviously remains to be seen how the movie ultimately performs at the box office, this is a very good sign.

We might finally be getting a new X-Men film as Michael Lesslie has been tapped to write a new film for Marvel.
It looks like the X-Men have come to stay in the MCU. After the disappointing Dark Phoenix, the X-Men have been laying low until we got quick teases in Ms. Marvel and The Marvels before Deadpool & Wolverine re-introduces everyone’s favourite grumpy mutant proper.
Deadline now reports that Marvel is planning a proper X-Men movie and Michael Lesslie is in negotiations to pen the script. Lesslie wrote last year’s Hunger Games: The Ballad Of Songbirds & Snakes, proving he can adapt someone else’s material. Lesslie has also penned the script for the new Now You See Me sequel which will be filming later this year.

The X-Men are one step closer to joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with their own movie.
Screenwriter Michael Lesslie (“The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes”) is in talks with Marvel Studios to write the first “X-Men” movie since the mutant superhero franchise was acquired by Disney in its purchase of 21st Century Fox in 2019.
As with every Marvel Studios film, Kevin Feige will produce, but nothing else about the film has been set, including director or cast. Marvel has been slowly seeding the MCU with mutants over the past two years, including brief mentions in 2022’s “Ms. Marvel” and “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and appearances of the X-Men’s namesake and leader, Charles Xavier (Patrick Stewart), in an alternative universe in 2022’s “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” and of Beast (Kelsey Grammer) in the post-credits sequence of 2023’s “The Marvels.”

Deadpool And Wolverine Bond Over A Beer In New Advert; Ryan Reynolds Shares Disclaimer For The Movie
Following yesterday's latest teaser for Deadpool and Wolverine, we have a new advert for Heineken Silver, which sees Wade Wilson and Logan take a break from beating the crap out of each other to enjoy a beer together.
The clip begins with Wolverine preparing to pop his claws, when the Merc With a Mouth reveals that he "borrowed" some of the mutant's adamantium in order to "create something special."
This footage won't be in the actual movie (unless it's even more meta than we realized), but we wouldn't be at all surprised if there's some blatant product placement in there!
In addition, Ryan Reynolds has released a very funny disclaimer for the upcoming movie in an effort to keep our expectations in check.
“We’re very excited to be joining you July 26. But we should set the table correctly. This film is as paper thin as a sequel to Battlefield Earth.

The Taylor Swift as Dazzler rumors first began when the singer's likeness was used for the musical mutant's album cover in X-Men: Apocalypse. Nothing ever came of it back then, but the rumors persisted.
Speculation really kicked into overdrive when the pop megastar was spotted at the Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets game with Deadpool and Wolverine director Shawn Levy and stars Ryan Reynolds (Wade Wilson) and Hugh Jackman (Wolverine) in 2023.
Levy was asked about the Dazzler rumors last year, and declined to confirm or deny Swift's involvement in the R-rated threequel.
“I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy. That’s Taylor-related. And it’s McU-related. I’m no dummy. You’re going to have to wait and see.”

“I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy. That’s Taylor-related. And it’s McU-related. I’m no dummy. You’re going to have to wait and see.”
Earlier today, shortly after tickets for the movie went on sale, Reynolds was asked about a potential part for Swift.
“There's...

We've covered quite a few actors and actresses here at TV Fanatic, and while some of them have fallen into the "familiar face in the background" roles, none have snuck up on audiences like Olivia Munn.
One of her first acting gigs was that of "Claw Hostess" in the Steve Carell and Tina Fey comedy Date Night.
Although her part was small, the actress was one of the most memorable experiences of that movie—besides Mark Wahlberg shirtless, that is.
Though she looks like a model, Munn's career has focused solely on the small and big screen and live and scripted appearances.
In many ways, she's like that actor you notice when you rewatch movies from years ago, making you go, "Wait, isn't that what's her name from that thing?"
It's an extremely common occurrence with actors who turn into big names later in their careers. Don't believe me?...

Marvel debuted a new 60-second promo (check it out here) and poster for Deadpool and Wolverine earlier today when tickets went on sale, and we now have an updated synopsis for the studio's "most significant mistake to date."
We've seen a few different versions (most likely placeholders for merchandizing purposes) of this logline already, but this is by far the most unserious yet!
“Marvel Studios presents their most significant mistake to date - Deadpool & Wolverine," it reads. "A listless Wade Wilson toils away in civilian life. His days as the morally flexible mercenary, Deadpool, behind him. When his homeworld faces an existential threat, Wade must reluctantly suit-up again with an even more reluctantlier... reluctanter? Reluctantest? He must convince a reluctant Wolverine to - F*ck. Synopses are so f*cking stupid.”
It seems clear that the marketing for D&w is going to take the piss at every given opportunity,...

Tickets for Deadpool and Wolverine are now on sale, and Marvel Studios has marked the announcement with a new teaser and poster.
The minute-long promo for Wade Wilson's Marvel Cinematic Universe debut only features a few new shots (Wolverine's mask is still nowhere to be seen), but there is a funny, if typically juvenile, gag right at the end, as the Merc With a Mouth asks Logan to "hold still" while he finishes... pulling his sword out.
The poster spotlights Wade and Wolvie locked in combat. It's a pretty cool one-sheet, but again, it seems like the studio has decided to keep the iconic mutant's full costume under wraps until audiences are sitting down to watch the movie.
This would usually be a smart strategy, but the impact will be lessened somewhat by the fact that we've already seen so much promo art spotlighting the mask. Maybe Marvel should...

A very impressive - and very bloody - independent fan-film has been shared online, and it reimagines Wolverine as a Viking warrior in Medieval times.
Directed by Godefroy Ryckewaert, the ultra-violent Logan The Wolf begins with a group of mercenaries approaching this far more ruthless and bloodthirsty take on the iconic mutant hero, who has been accused of brutally slaughtering anyone who encounters him - including women and children.
Logan, who refers to himself as "Fenrir's Fury," makes short work of his attackers in extremely gruesome fashion, before being approached by a man who offers to join forces so they can both rid the world of the human "animals."
We don't want to spoil exactly who this character is supposed to be, but be sure to keep watching for a short post-credits scene.

Cyclops. Wolverine. Jean Gray.
Some characters have been at the forefront of the Marvel brand that are intimately connected to the X-Men. It is as Captain America and Iron Man are to the Avengers, Reed, Sue, Johnny, and Ben are to the Fantastic Four, and as Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman are to the Justice League. Whenever it comes to introducing these teams in new mediums, these characters are the premier choices to build out the universe with.

While Wolverine, Cyclops, and Marvel Girl might be important characters to introduce the X-Men within any universe, a rumor has surfaced online that states that Marvel might forgo its premiere mutant team to focus on ‘underutilized’ characters to introduce the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Needless to say, fans had a few things to say about it, whether it is true or not.
