[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Star Wars: Tales of The Empire Episodes 4, 5 and 6.] The subject of Barriss Offee’s (voiced by Meredith Salenger) whereabouts after the fall of the Republic has long been a debated subject among Star Wars fans. Some thought she’d managed to escape prison and saved Grogu… which turned out not to be the case. Some thought she’d show up in Ahsoka as an antagonist for her former friend to battle… which turned out not to be the case. Others, still, hypothesized that the disgraced former Jedi might’ve become an Inquisitor… and they were right. But Tales of the Empire proved that turning to the Dark Side was only part of Barriss’ story. As of the end of the final episode, we’re left conflicted about Barriss—and, again, we’re not sure whether she survived. Let’s break it down. Disney+ Did Barriss Offee Die? That’s the...

There will be spoilers for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire," so beware.
First introduced in the limited "Obi-Wan Kenobi" TV series that debuted in 2002 on Disney+, the Fourth Sister was an early member of the Inquisitorius and helped hunt down Jedi for many years during the Dark Times. Little is known about her past, other than that she was once a Jedi who turned to the dark side and the safety of the Empire after the events of Order 66. A humanoid with greenish skin and head tails, the Fourth Sister remains largely a mystery. Thanks to the new "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire" animated shorts, we have some more details about her and her past -- and also many hints about her future.
The other "villain" that features in these stories is Barriss Offee, the young Mirialan Padawan who framed Ahsoka Tano for murder in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

This article contains spoilers for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire."
The fate of the fallen Jedi Barriss Offee (voiced by Meredith Salenger) has been an enduring mystery after "The Clone Wars" season 5 finale, and the green Mirialan's tumultuous history made her ripe for a continued story in the "Star Wars" universe. Disgruntled by the Jedi Order's involvement in the Clone Wars, the then-padawan bombed the Jedi Temple and framed her bestie Ahsoka Tano (voiced by Ashley Eckstein). Said treachery instigated Ahsoka's departure from the Jedi Order, highlighting the spread of disillusionment within the Order.
As the supervising director of "Clone Wars," Dave Filoni nearly killed off Barriss, but then he cut the scene where she commits a suicide bombing in her Republic jail cell. Considering the lengths Filoni went to keep a secret of "Star Wars Rebels" from the crew, a league of Barriss Truthers saw her as...

“Size matters not,” Yoda once told us. And so, while Tales Of The Empire — the second anthology of canonical Star Wars animated shorts, following the 2022 collection Tales Of The Jedi — consists of just six bite-sized instalments, running between 10 and 15 minutes each, it’s not to be overlooked. This is short, powerful, punchy storytelling in the Star Wars galaxy, hooking onto under-explored characters and offering narrative morsels that thread together decades of disparate threads.
Last time, the focus was on the fall of Count Dooku and pivotal moments in the life of Ahsoka Tano. Here, the first three episodes are devoted to Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) — the Beskar-spear-swinging Magistrate first introduced in The Mandalorian Season 2, later revealed as a former Dathomir witch intent on heralding the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn in Ahsoka – as she loses everything, and finds new purpose in the embrace of the Empire.

A second season of Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi was first announced at Star Wars Celebration Europe 2023, and fans have since been eager to see which characters this season’s installments would be about. Would we see more stories from Ahsoka and Count Dooku, or different characters entirely? Nearly a year after it was first announced, we have a first look at the new season, now named Tales of the Empire.
Tales of the Empire will focus on the stories of The Mandalorian and Ahsoka’s Lady Morgan Elsbeth (Diana Lee Inosanto) and, to the delight of many, former Jedi Padawan Barriss Offee (Meredith Salenger), who was last seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

As Yoda himself once said, "Always two there are, no more, no less… A master and an apprentice." That might now apply to animated anthologies that tie into other in-universe Star Wars stories, because following 2022's Tales Of The Jedi, we now have its dark twin, Tales Of The Empire. Check out the trailer for the new series:
Created and written once again by Dave Filoni (who also serves as supervising director), this, as the title might lead you to believe, features stories from the point of view of the Galactic Empire. We follow two warriors on divergent paths in different eras. One, Morgan Elsbeth channels the loss of everything and everyone she loves into a seething anger that offers the Imperial forces (especially Lars Mikkelsen's Thrawn) something they can exploit.
There is also former Jedi Barriss Offee (Meredith Salenger) who is forced to do whatever it takes to survive a rapidly changing galaxy.

There are two sides to every story, but nothing is ever really black and white, good versus evil, or even Jedi versus Empire.

Lucasfilm has revealed the first teaser trailer for "Star Wars: Tales of the Empire." Though not exactly a season 2, per se, this serves as a follow-up to 2022's acclaimed "Tales of the Jedi." That show was a series of animated shorts that focused on two interwoven tales of Jedi at crucial times in their development, namely Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku before he fell to the dark side. Similarly, this new series will be focusing on two different figures within the Empire: Morgan Elsbeth and former Jedi Barriss Offee. Check it out for yourself above.

The film scripted by Rebecca Flinn-White (Period’s Big Adventure) and Zak White (Creepshow) follows Ben (Kalopsis), who is your typical high-school overachiever. He’s organized, careful, goal-oriented and extremely dedicated to school. His best friend, Tanner (Young), couldn’t be more opposite. She is a lackadaisical, messy, slacker, who lives in the moment. They aren’t popular, but they don’t seem to care that much because they have each other.

Tributes poured in from all corners of Hollywood when the news came of Matthew Perry’s death at age 54 on Saturday. The actor, best known for starring as Chandler Bing in “Friends,” was found dead in a hot tub at his home in Los Angeles.
Many of the sentiments posted online Saturday pointed to Perry as the heart of the humor in “Friends.” As written in a tribute by Variety‘s chief correspondent Daniel D’Addario, “the character’s caustic wit, as performed by a master comic actor, presented as nothing more and nothing less than observational humor about his friends: One degree harsher and it would have tanked the show, one degree softer and it wouldn’t have landed.”
Several also referenced Perry’s struggle with alcoholism and drug addiction, which he discussed publicly throughout his career, especially in his memoir “Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing.”

Many of the movies John Carpenter has directed are frequently mentioned as some of the greatest genre movies ever made… but there are also Carpenter movies that don’t get referenced very often. One that you rarely hear about is his Village of the Damned (watch it Here), based on the John Wyndham novel The Midwich Cuckoos and a previous film adaptation that was released in 1960. We decided it’s time to give Carpenter’s Village of the Damned some attention, and you can find out what we had to say about it in the new episode of our video series The Black Sheep. Check it out in the embed above!
Village of the Damned has the following synopsis:
Ten months after the small California town of Midwich was struck by a mysterious event during which everyone in the village fell unconscious at once, 10 local women give birth on the same day.

For those that haven’t seen the film, Dream a Little Dream tells the story of Bobby (Feldman) who, after some spiritual shenanigans and yoga in the garden, swaps bodies with Jason Robards’ Coleman Ettinger. And Coleman’s wife (played by Piper Laurie) swaps bodies, sort of, with Bobby’s high school crush Lainie (Meredith Salenger). And like all good body swap films, Coleman must find a way to swap back tie Bobby by helping him get the girl… If he can survive high school and the aggressive, dangerous behaviour of Lainie’s boyfriend Joel (William McNamara).

President Donald Trump shocked many in the nation on Tuesday with a comment that appeared to be a signal to the violent white nationalist organization Proud Boys.
During President Trump’s first presidential debate with Democratic challenger Joe Biden, Trump was pressed by debate moderator, Fox News’ Chris Wallace, to condemn white supremacist groups. Trump ignored the question, but when Wallace asked a second time, Trump responded: “Proud Boys, stand back and stand by.” He then made reference to violence on the far left. “But I’ll tell you what, somebody’s gotta do something about Antifa and the left because this is not a right wing problem, this is a left wing problem,” he said.
The reference to Proud Boys instantly stirred outrage among viewers who connected it to the Proud Boys, an organization described by the Southern Poverty Law Center as a violent white nationalist organization associated with...

Hulu's Into the Dark debuts its second episode of their horror franchise, Flesh & Blood, on November 2. Here is a first look.
Hulu's collaboration with Blumhouse, Into the Dark, is yet another interesting step in the evolution of television and the convergence of media in general.
This is a first look at Into the Dark episode 2...but can something that arrives monthly and that is completely unrelated to its other "episodes" in anything other than tone really be called an episode? Or is it a movie? Into the Dark's October debut feature, "The Body," was 80 minutes after all.

Droves of people have taken to Twitter to share why they didn’t immediately report sexual misconduct at the time of the abuse — including Hollywood stars Daryl Hannah, Ashley Judd, “2 Broke Girls” creator Whitney Cummings, “Riverdale” star Lili Reinhart and more.
The hashtag “#WhyIDidntReport” trended on the platform Friday after President Trump cast doubt on Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s accuser Christine Ford because she did not immediately report the alleged sexual assault at the time of the “attack” she said took place decades ago.
Trump tweeted: “I have no doubt that, if the attack on Dr. Ford was as bad as she says, charges would have been immediately filed with local Law Enforcement Authorities by either her or her loving parents. I ask that she bring those filings forward so that we can learn date, time, and place!”
