Pam works as a Sound Designer for Feature FIlms and Episodic Television creating soundscapes at times ultimately responsible for the completion of sound on studio productions. In addition she taught Sound Editorial at the graduate level and ran a small business for 3 years that had a staff of 4 employees.
Her interest in filmmaking began as a teenager when she joined The Broadway Local Video Collective. Funded by NYS Council for the Arts the collective made documentaries about people on the Upper Westside of Manhattan for early Public Access cable.
Early in her professional career she assisted Academy Award winning Documentarian, Richard Schmiechen gaining valuable experience in the art of story telling. With Richard's guidance, she successfully edited documentaries and high-end industrial films.
Pam is the daughter of Virginia Fitting and Songwriter Claude DeMetruis.
