Marsha Shearrill
- Make-Up Department
Originally from Chicago, Marsha Shearrill at first resisted having a career as an artist despite her acceptance to the prestigious School of the
Art Institute of Chicago and pursued a career in the sciences. While
attending school, however, the many opportunities that came about
convinced her to pursue her first love, art. Having decided to transfer
her skill at drawing and painting to the human canvas, she started her
early career as a professional makeup artist in television and soon
found herself heading a local station's makeup department. After
several years and branching into video, print and film she had the
privilege of working with Monty and June Westmore. The following
apprenticeship and encouragement from them was very influential in her
development as a makeup artist. Her eye for color, natural instinct for
dimension and attention to detail has consistently aided productions to
bring characters to life. Her ability to put talent at ease with her
quiet, calming and down to earth demeanor has continued to give her the
opportunity and privilege of working with some of the industry's most
talented people.
