- Yû Kobayashi was born on February 5, 1982 in Japan. She is an actress and composer, known for Steins;Gate (2011), Steins;Gate (2009) and Attack on Titan (2013).
- Before venturing as a voice actress, Kobayashi worked as a model for magazines.
- In 2008, she was nominated for "Best New Actress" at the second edition of the Seiyuu Awards.
- In 2003, she auditioned for the role of Setsuna Sakurazaki in Negima! Magister Negi Magi, beginning her career as a voice actress.
- In 2008, she released her first album YOU&YU and her first mini-album, ROCK YOU!!.
