Nicholas Manting Brewer, an award-winning filmmaker hailing from Augusta, Georgia, is known for his films that delve into complex social issues using an ethnographic and lyrical approach. He is also a founding partner of Standard Deviation Productions. In 2019, the company's film "Lumpkin, Georgia" premiered on the PBS/World Channel documentary series "Reel South". In 2021, the San Diego Union-Tribune distributed their animated documentary, "Llaves". His work has been screened at various film festivals globally. Nicholas holds an MFA from the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts and earned his B.A. in Anthropology from New College of Florida.
