Survivor 46 just ended, and a promo hit immediately for Survivor 47. However, the producers of the hit reality TV show are already talking about Survivor 50. The series’ 50th anniversary is coming up in just a couple of years, and the producers say they have big changes coming in time for that show.
Here is what the producers had to say about the upcoming Survivor 50.

On June 11, “America’s Got Talent” season 19 continued with the third installment of audition episodes. In this initial stage of the competition, each judge is given two “golden buzzer” decisions to make where they can send an act straight through to the live shows. During “Auditions 3,” Sofia Vergara differed from the other judges because the Malambo dance of Legion was not new to her as a South American, but still they were “spectacular” enough to earn her top prize. Watch the full performance in the video above.
The men of Legion explained to the judges that they are an Argentinian Malambo company that rehearses their dance routines extracurricularly to their “real jobs.” With the money should they win, they told Simon Cowell they want their own studio because they’ve been preparing in the backyard of a members’ parents backyard. The 2023-24 TV season was blown apart before it ever began. Two labor strikes and media companies’ refusal to budge on the demands of writers and actors wiped out a couple dozen fall premieres for scripted series on the broadcast networks. When management did agree to new terms with writers and actors (largely accepting the two unions’ demands), it meant shortened seasons for nearly every returning comedy and drama.
One thing remained consistent with previous years, however: The vast majority of shows on the five English-language broadcasters brought in smaller on-air audiences than they did the season before.
Of the 143 primetime series with complete data for the September-to-May TV season, only 11 drew bigger total audiences than they did in the 2022-23 season, based on Nielsen’s seven-day ratings for 2023-24. Just five shows scored better ratings in the key ad-sales demographic of adults 18-49 vs. last season.

Survivor is close to heading into its 50th season.
CBS just finished airing Season 46 but the network is already thinking ahead.
“We’re already talking about Season 50 for Survivor. We just wrapped up Season 47 in Fiji. I was texting with Jeff [Probst] last night and he said there’s some pretty epic blindsides coming up. I think this show can go on for a really long time,” CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach told Deadline.
Reisenbach, who was speaking Tuesday at a Deadline-moderated panel at the Banff World Media Festival, said Season 50 will start shooting next spring.
“We will absolutely be celebrating and I would consider it kind of a year-long celebration. We do that really well on CBS. We will have a lot of plans in the works… it’d be the first time in the new era that will have returning players. That’s really exciting,” she added.

CBS got in early with its 2024-25 schedule and has been stocking up on new shows such as NCIS: Origins, Watson and Sheriff’s Country, and it isn’t planning on slowing down soon.
Amy Reisenbach, President of CBS Entertainment, said Tuesday during a Deadline-moderated panel session at the Banff World Media Festival that she was already planning ahead for the 2026-27 broadcast season.
This may include some new comedies and potentially cooking shows as Reisenbach explained her new programming strategy.
“What’s great as we’re talking about 2025-26, in some cases, we’ve even pinpointed places where we want to be developing for 2026-27 already,” she said. “That’s the joy of working at CBS, and with the schedule and the stability that we have on the schedule, we can think that far in advance. We’re crazy if we’re not taking advantage of that.”

On Saturday, June 8, Peacock’s “The Traitors” hosted a family-friendly “Castle Garden” FYC event at the Grove in Los Angeles to celebrate the Emmy-winning series’ loyal fans. Kate Chastain, Trishelle Cannatella and Parvati Shallow arrived in style on top of the “Traitors Trolley” to dish the season 2 gossip with moderator Scott Evans (“Access Hollywood”) in front of a packed audience.
The second season of “The Traitors” featured recognizable celebs from reality TV programs like “Below Deck,” “The Challenge” and “Survivor,” plus sports stars and political leaders. The competition tasks regular players (the Faithfuls) with trying to identify who among them are actually murderers in plain sight (the Traitors). In Season 2, Trishelle and Chris “Ct” Tamburello made it to the end as Faithfuls and split the prize pot of $208,100, while Kate and Parvati were both recruited as Traitors.

Another potential power couple has formed from The Challenge, as show winner Devin Walker and multi-season competitor Michele Fitzgerald are officially dating.
Michele, who won Survivor, recently confirmed that she and Devin are together with a social media share.
They appeared as castmates in several seasons, with Michele’s rookie season of MTV’s Spies, Lies & Allies being their first together.
Devin and Michele returned for The Challenge: Ride or Dies, where Devin captured his first season win alongside Tori Deal.
MTV followed that with their Battle For a New Champion season, in which Michele was a main cast member, and Devin appeared as a mercenary in a single elimination.
However, that appearance also tied in with Michele and her showmance throughout the season, which wasn’t Devin.

Survivor producers have continued the trend of releasing Ponderosa videos after the season.
During older seasons, footage from Ponderosa served as a treat for fans keeping up with the show.
But now the Ponderosa footage is held back until later, and it’s not as extensive as before.
At least each jury member has been getting some post-season time in the spotlight, and recently Tiffany Ervin got her shot.
Tiffany finished Survivor 46 in eighth place. She overcame a lot, as her tribe (Yanu) was terrible through the first few weeks.
As part of the Survivor 46 jury, Tiffany voted for Kenzie Petty to win. It helped Kenzie secure a 5-3 victory over Charlie Davis.

Below is Tiffany’s video from Ponderosa. She was eliminated on Day 19 and became the fourth person to join the jury.

It’s no surprise that Cirie Fields appears on the track, especially after the duo was so close in the Big Brother house.
Izzy worked very closely with Cirie and her son, Jared Fields, but she was eliminated before the jury phase began.
Izzy got evicted on Day 44 and finished the season in 12th place. Cirie lasted much longer, getting to Day 93 before her elimination.

Each season, Survivor players who have been voted out go to Ponderosa in Fiji.
It’s a place to recover from playing the game, get some good food, and think about what could have been.

In past seasons, Ponderosa clips were shown during the season, but Survivor recently shifted to releasing them after the finale.

The Traitors 3 cast list was revealed this morning.
With filming beginning in Scotland, Peacock surprised fans with the big revelation.
This past weekend, host Alan Cumming announced he had chosen the Traitors, and now we get a peak behind the curtain.
Speculation about who would be on the new cast has been floating around for a while.
The good news is that Peacock has 21 new reality TV stars playing the game this season.
The bad news is that we have to wait until the episodes debut.
Who is on The Traitors 3 cast?
The new players in Scotland include people from Big Brother, Survivor, The Real Housewives, Selling Sunset, The Bachelorette, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Vanderpump Rules.
There is even a British Royal in the mix this year.
Alliances are key on a show like this, and having four people from Survivor at CBS and four people from The Real Housewives on Bravo should be interesting.
