- TriviaFuturama (1999) has ended a year and 2 months before this episode aired (September 2013). This is the last episode of any series to feature the Futurama cast until the Hulu reboot of Futurama in 2023.
- GoofsMatt Groening has specifically said that in the world of The Simpsons that Futurama is a TV show set in the future. In the world of Futurama The Simpsons is a 1,000 year old TV show. This was displayed in the Futurama episode a "A Big Ball of Garbage" when Fry and Bender come upon a pile of old Bart Simpsons Dolls.
This was addressed in their first crossover "The Simpsons Futurama Crossover Crisis" Comic Book by referring back to the Futurama Episode "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid" we see that the Brain Spawn can transport people into the world of a book. But in this episode it is completely disregarded and assumed that The Simpsons and Futurama inhabit the same universe/timeline.

What an enjoyable crossover 😄
As a fan of The Simpsons and Futurama for many years, it was an absolute delight to see this episode. I didn't even know it existed! Up until a few months, I'd only seen The Simpsons up to about season 13. Since getting Disney Plus, I've been watching all the new seasons, starting from season 14. 'Simpsorama' is definitely one of the best newer Simpsons episodes in my opinion. I honestly hope that they do another crossover with Futurama. It worked really nicely here, and has the potential to be even better, and funnier too. If they do make another S & F crossover, I hope that Fry will have some more lines, I love his character. Anyway, whether you're a Simpsons fan, a Futurama fan, or you love both shows, this is an episode you've got to see! It's fun and wholesome 😊
