Did you know
- Trivia"White Grady" is a reference to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, at a time when the Hospital was segregated based on the color of one's skin, especially the part of the hospital that caters to white patients and serviced by white medical residents that were minted at Emory University. In this case, "White Grady" refers to Emory University Hospital, which supposedly has a higher quality of care.
- Quotes
Aaron: Who are you?
Felix: Felix. Who are you?
Aaron: What are you doing?
Felix: I'm about to burn this motherfucker down. What are you doing?
Aaron: He said you weren't Black, too.
Felix: My parents are from Nigeria. I was born there, but I don't even remember it. I'm from Lithonia. Hmm.
Aaron: Hmm.
Aaron: I get it.
Felix: Get what?
Aaron: I understand what he means. You're not really Black. You have an entire culture to pull from. You know where you're from, you can trace your lineage, and you have a country to go home to. That's not really Black.
Felix: Well, I'm Blacker than you. You look like fucking Frankie Muniz. You think if I walk down the street in your neighborhood, they're not gonna stop me because I'm African? I had to take the bus here and assemble this shit by the dumpster. Bet you just walked on over here, in front of everyone. Keep your Black card tucked, bruh.
Aaron: Listen, I really don't care anymore. I'm burning the school down. Excuse me.
Donald Glover is a genius and I hope he does more stuff like this in the future!
I loved it but others will probably disagree (critics) but honestly I was glued to the screen watching it.
If you have been enjoying Atlanta, you'll like this episode for sure!
