The Beatles: Get Back (2021)
Enthralling. Magnificent. Goosebumps.
These three films should be shown to kids lucky enough to have music taught at school.
Having watched this I wished for two things. One, Lennon-McCartney could have resolved whatever issues they had. What a team.
Second thing. I wish I was a fourteen or fifteen year old. The first thing I'd have done is gone out and bought an instrument and found two or three like minded people and at least try to come up with something ...even if it came to nothing.
Enthralling. Magnificent. Goosebumps.
Frank of Ireland (2021)
More Please
Well written, very funny very well acted with a really solid cast. Brian Gleeson is very funny and taking on a comedic role is not for the faint at heart but he is very funny.
As too is his brother Domhnall. Pom Boyd is fantastic as is Pat Shortt, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Sarah Greene. As I said, very solid casting and all very funny.
Episode four was one of the funniest things I have seen this year. Very clever, funny smart and Irish. The show has a universal theme but with a very authentic Irish touch. The accents, expressions, slang everything about it really.
I'd LOVE to see more, lots more from this crew. Highly recommend. Money well spent.
Anyone who has a problem with the show or was offended needs to have a quick little cry prior to hammering any keyboards. FFS like, only words. They are only words. They can't hurt you. More's the pity.
Without Remorse (2021)
Made By Fifteen Year Olds
Made by fifteen year olds for ten year olds. How can a flick be acted, scripted and given the go ahead.
The acting is shockingly unbelievable. Not even a seasoned pro like Guy Pearce can do anything with this rubbish.
The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)
I didn't want it to end
The acting is powerful. The story is perfect. The movie is truly emotional and really fun. Did I mention the acting?? It's amazing. 10/10 feels low but it's the only option I got. Thank you for getting this made. I didn't want it to end.
Dave Chappelle: Sticks & Stones (2019)
A Master Craftsman Who Makes It Look Easy
All the best have always made comedy look effortlessly easy. And that is the true sign of a comedy great. To make us laugh and Dave Chappelle has always had it and will only get better. 10/10
Mindhunter (2017)
Season one was captivating
Season two however was pretty much mailed in and a ticket to ride.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive (2019)
Fascinating insight. Thank you
Christ almighty. Just no pleasing some people.
Thank you Liberty, Netflix and of course F1. Greatest sport and spectacle on the planet. Any chance of the same for next near?
Captain Marvel (2019)
Meh! Sounds about right
Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn and some 90s nostalgia. That's about it really. I could have gotten this from Netflix for far less. Meh.. Sounds about right
I Feel Pretty (2018)
False, misleading shill reviewers.
I won't use the word movie. This pile of nonsensical nonsense pretty much sums up Amy Schumer and her "rave reviewers".
When will this "woman" leave us alone. Nasty, cheap and devoid of ANY talent. But hey, if that's what sells then no better "woman" for the job.
P.S
IMDB needs to introduce a ZERO rating. Fair and balanced. 0 is a number after all.
Chris Rock: Tamborine (2018)
Shockingly Bad
Netflix need to have a good look at themselves. What a clueless and out of touch has-been Rock is. Crawl back under what ever rock you were under and stay there. You weren't missed and won't be.
There's a thing in comedy called timing. Same goes for the real world. The same world Chris Rock left a long time ago.
Netflix and Rock allowed this be released on the same day seventeen people were shot dead in Florida. Fourteen of the kids were white.
I hope that was a good start for Chris Rock/Netflix and his wish for more white kids to be shot dead.
Come back Amy Schumer, all is forgiven. Yes, it really is that bad. Shockingly bad.
