I saw Bottoms, starring Rachel Sennott-Bodies Bodies Bodies, Call Your Mother_tv; Ayo Edebiri-The Bear_tv, Theater Camp; Havana Rose Liu-No Exit, The Sky is Everywhere and Kaia Gerber-Babylon, American Horror Story_tv and oh yeah, she is also Cindy Crawford's daughter.
This is a teen/lesbian comedy. Rachel and Ayo are two high school lesbian teenagers that want to have sex before they graduate but they are not very popular girls, so they decide to start an all girls fight club under the pretense of women learning self defense. Rachel and Ayo think that they will be able to score while grappling with the other girls, and they have their sites set on two of them in particular. Rachel likes Kaia and Ayo prefers Havana. The usual teen comedy situations abound; the jocks are abusive, the girls tell little white lies and get caught in them, everyone hates and then loves them, etc. I thought a lot of the humor was a little juvenile-like most teen comedies are-but I guess I'm not the target audience. Just as the end credits start, bloopers are shown but nothing at the very end.
It's rated R for violence, language and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 31 minutes.
It's not one that I would buy on DVD but if you are interested in the subject matter, it would be alright to stream.
