Review of We Were the Lucky Ones

It's a big story to tell and the capturing of it through this many characters is hard to keep track of at times. I don't feel particularly connected to any of them but considering we are actively living through a genocide of people i can't emphasize enough how important it is we learn, we watch, we listen to stories of genocide and oppressed people now more than ever. They had community they had to speak with each other we don't even have to know our neighbors today and most of us live in countries with heavy military presence where this occurrence could happen quickly and easily. Hold tight to each other is the story being told because facism and supremacy is swift cruel and deadly. Now is the time to consider what side of history you will be on and this show is a painful reminder that it is an active choice to fight and advocate against such violent forces.
