This is the single most awful Star Trek series with bad pacing, bad acting, bad themes, bad writing. It's purely a drama with some sci-fi words and all scientific challenges being solved too easily without making any sense. Previous series have given the audience a feeling of discovery, while this particular series - ironically - does nothing of the sort. Started out interesting in season 1 but was quickly ruined by repetitiveness, shallowness and speeches. It only gets worse further on and there are a total of about 10 interesting episodes. The show is full of ideologically chosen themes that feel out of place because of how artificially the drama unfolds.
